Woodings to Ship New Pneumatic Drill to Serbia
Completing their first order for a steelmaking giant in Serbia, Woodings Industrial Corp. is ready to ship a new and uniquely designed pneumatic taphole drill for the steelmaker's blast furnace rebuild project.
The furnace is a two taphole furnace but the steelmaker wanted only one drill. Woodings has designed and built a drill to effectively service both tapholes.
With the two tapholes 90 degrees apart, the Woodings drill is able to rotate to drill at both tapholes. The Woodings taphole drill will be completely pneumatic to facilitate swinging, feedshell rotating, and drilling and feeding. The Woodings drill will feature a WFP-600 hammer and water mist drilling capability.
“Innovation is the hallmark of our approach to answering our customers' needs. This project defines that approach quite clearly. Being able to fulfill the customers request on the first order out makes it even more rewarding for us”, stated Woodings president, Rob Woodings.
